Originally from Bombay, I've lived & worked across London, Bangalore & Stockholm and am currently exploring Open Banking roles in the UK.

My Professional Experience (2008-2017) spans two distinct chapters in FINance + TECHnology:

I. 2008-13 - FIN: Investment banking, hedge fund investing, fundraising & global strategy/M&A roles across Bombay & London.

(In 2013, I won a Startup Weekend in Cambridge and briefly joined a tech incubator before returning to India.)

II. 2014-17 - TECH: Product Co-Founder at early-stage, VC-backed B2C startups in Bangalore (India's Silicon Valley), including one exit.

In December 2017, during a sabbatical, I survived a near-fatal car crash that left me with a traumatic brain injury and long-term memory challenges. What could’ve been a full stop became a reset. It rewired how I build and operate – forcing me to rely on systems, empathy, and clarity like never before. This second life doesn’t slow me down – it’s my unfair advantage :)

While recovering gradually (2018-21), I undertook multiple Venture Consulting projects, Qualifications & Startup Experiments. Upon making a full recovery & post COVID lockdowns, I moved to Stockholm to revamp Truecaller's iOS app in early 2022. Over an intense 7-month marathon, we rolled out of a brand new iOS app, written from the ground up; that helped us double our global iOS users within a couple weeks!

I then leveraged my background in FINance + TECHnology to team up with an old college friend (& ex-colleague) setting up a fintech in London - Passvoy - a Neo Bank for the Indian diaspora & voyagers to India (FX on UPI). Despite getting IFSCA's Limited Use Authorization and successfully showcasing our fully digital eKYC journey as part of their Innovation Sandbox, we lost the eventual license to Google.

After this setback, I took my learnings from Passvoy + my background from Truecaller (identity verification via phone numbers) to build Verifany - a financial verification platform (via bank account data) built on top of Open Banking rails starting with the UK & Europe. We launched a simple, intuitive Free Income Verification tool – and learned that Open Banking products thrive best within trusted ecosystems, not in isolation.
